October 25, 2005
THE AP is reporting now: Israel Vows 'Crushing' Response to
Attacks
I set out to find their headlines that would explain to me what these
attacks are in response to. After all, the headline said
"response", so obviously there must be a "cause" that was reported
previously that I had missed...
Of course, I don't miss a thing, I follow at least 4 different news
sources from Israel daily, so I already know of the CONSTANT TERROR
ATTACKS against Israel on an hour by hour basis. I know the
Palestinian savages couldn't wait 5 minutes to launch their Kassams
across their new border at the Jews. What does AP and Reuters say?
"PALESTINIAN militants fired a rocket from Gaza into Israel
today, a military source said, in the first such attack since Israeli
forces completed a pullout from the territory 10 days ago."
This is typical of how AP and Reuters lie. Anyone following the
news out of Israel knows that there have been many rocket attacks over
the last two weeks, as well as infiltrations and shooting attacks, and
where are their reporters? Could it be the problem is what
follows at the end of the article, appearing only on publications that
are not ashamed to hide the fact that they employ almost exclusively
arabs as their reporters and photographers?
(Reporting by Nidal al-Mughrabi in Gaza....)
Only ABC came through with the cause of the Israeli military operation
now taking place. THEIR headline reads: "Rocket attack injures
five Israelis "
Nearly every single story that covered the
accidental explosion at the Hamas rally was headlined in such a way as
to possibly impugn Israel...
Huge explosion rocks Gaza: Palestinian witnesses - (English)
Explosion rocks Hamas rally (English)
And only ONE headline, from Israelnationalnews.com,
mentioned that it was Hamas' own rockets that exploded. Every
other headline, and there are dozens, allow the reader to assume
that Israel was likely responsible, as the first paragraph implies:
GAZA, Sept 23: An explosion at
a
Hamas rally killed at least 10 Palestinians, including children, in the
Gaza Strip on Friday in the first deadly incident in the territory
since Israel completed its withdrawal on Sept 12.
Hamas accused Israel of
attacking
the procession of military vehicles and thousands of marchers chanted
for revenge....
The only quotation the Reuters story managed to include was that of a
Hamas spokesman, who of course said:
“Israel has targeted a Hamas
rally
in Jabalya with an air strike,”
The story ends with people dismembered and dead "said ONE witness". -
Reuters
Reuters are complicit in crimes against Jews!
Do you think they might try to include some more important
details? Like the fact that Fatah has blamed Hamas for the
explosion?
Do they think that by calling it "the first deadly incident" since
Israel withrew, that they will fool people into thinking not only that
there has been actual quiet in Gaza, but that Israel is to blame for
the explosion?
The answer is yes, they do hope to fool you and anyone else reading
into thinking just that, because Reuters and AP are complicit in a plan
to steer public opinion ONE WAY and that way is against Israel -
regardless of the facts on the ground.
Every single story that covers the Israeli response to the fact that
their citizens are in the the hospital from falling Kassams reads as
follows, and there are dozens of them:
Israeli Military Seals Off West Bank, Gaza (English)
Only ONE mentioned a cause, and it was from MSNBC
'Crushing' response follows Hamas rocket barrage
No headlines mention that 5 rockets hit Israel and sent people to the
hospital. NONE! Instead, hundreds and hundreds of headlines
from around the world sound off against Israel as the aggressor,
reporting only their response, never the initial terror attacks...
Israeli forces mass...
Israeli air strike kills...
Air strike on Gaza cars kills four Hamas members
Reuters single headline mentioning any Palestinian aggression reads:
Palestinian rocket wounds five Israelis - army
As though it were a single rocket. They are notorious for
implying that the claim is bogus because the source of information was
the Israeli army, and here they do it again. "The army claims..." - as though it were in
dispute in spite of the injured in hospital at this moment.
Dozens and dozens of healines read like the following:
Palestinians must see gains from Gaza pullout -UN
There were few headlines that bothered to cover the initial attack...
IDF Kills 4 Gaza Terrorists after Sderot Bombarded
After dozens of rocket attacks from Gaza, Israel strikes
back,
killing 4
Of course, it was "Israelnationalnews.com"
- or as they refer to it in anti-semitic circles - "an Israeli website".
And then I see the many dozens of headlines praised the Palestinians
for having taken "control" of the region...
Palestinians Take Control of Gaza Border
Palestinians Take Control of Gaza
Border
Palestinians must see gains from Gaza pullout -UN
Lot's of them read like this:
Israeli troops kill 2 Palestinians in W. Bank raid
Israel kills three suspected Islamic militants
Only one headline said that it was "in response to rocket fire".
And only one website, debka.com
- gives the full details on the actual number of attacks by whom
against what:
Hamas launches more Qassam
missiles
at Sderot, injuring another 5 civilians, and declares a high emergency.
Activists in Gaza and West Bank ordered to “strike at the Zionist
enemy” everywhere. IDF reinforcements stream to the West Bank.
September 24, 2005, 6:22 AM
(GMT+02:00)
It is primed to respond to
further
Palestinian fire
Israeli forces remain massed
around
Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip, West Bank and Jordan Valley are under
Israeli closure. The 41st Palestinian missile since Friday night
injured a man in Sderot Saturday. ...
To be continued! (no doubt)

Who's "We"?

October 24, 2005
Israel is an
Arab
nation.
Arabs
are in the
Knesset. The Arab mind persuades the Jewish leadership, citizenry
and
Jews abroad, so that they make decisions against Jews in favor of
terrorists.
Who is a Jew? Can
any
on the left who support ideas favoring the
destruction of Israel be considered Jewish? Who is really a Jew
other
than those who believe the promises offered through Moses? Only
those
on the far, far right are right thinking on the defense of Israel, but
it was their own wrong thinking that allowed a ficticious Arab run
ad-campaign go untrumped and virtually unopposed - the lie of
"occupation".
"Occupation occupation"
is
all you ever hear, and is all you are ever
GOING to hear from the Arab side, because they are sticking to the game
plan, because they know it works. It was the single most
effective
word in allowing the present day chess board to look as it does today;
with many Arab pieces taking squares and the few Jewish pawns that have
not yet been sacrificed to protect the queens in Israeli govenment
forced into scrambling to the corners of the board, wondering where
their knights are.
Turns out they got rooked
-
castrated by bishops. And in reality it is
the Christian world that is forcing the hand of governments, including
Israel's - against Israel. They are forcing them into making
decisions
that are continually shrinking the Land of Israel not only in size but
in Jewish character. Christendom is guilty of the Holocaust, and
Christendom still has not reneged on her determined goal to get Israel
out of Jerusalem, because they know that their own laity expect that a
Christian ruler of the world will sit there one day, be it fact or
fiction. They expect wrongly to see Jews converted to
Christianity or
be destroyed at Armageddon.
And who is a
"christian"? There are very few Christians on the far far
right enough to get what is going on in the Holy Land, because they are
influenced so heavily by mainstream leadership and public opinion
polling. How many understand the Scriptures enough to understand
that
Jewish people should and must remain Jewish in character and identity
in order to fulfill the very plan they hold in their hands when they
read their own Christian Bibles? Instead they have the said
determined
goal to remove the Jewish character and identity from the Jew himself,
and strip all vestiges of the history of Israel from every square inch
of the land of Israel.
This is no less than a
Satanic plot, and those far right enough to see
the truth of half of it already know that unseen hands are guiding the
major players, whose number is so many that it cannot be a conspiracy
of any human invention or guidance, even though they think they may be
in control. The conspiracy is unmasked when you see a literal
spirit
being called the devil who as the adversary of G-d is seeking to keep
Him out of His own seat in Jerusalem. I'm sure this is all very
amusing to some.
And it's beside the
point,
because be it true or false, love it or hate
it, the point is almost moot. Meaning those Christians far right
enough to share this message are A. not telling the Jews on the far
right anything they don't already know, and B. are mostly drowned out
by the shrill voices of mainstream Christendom on the left - and their
media shills...
The only actual Jews in
Israel are now relegated to refugee status, and
are pitied as a minority homeless population. In essence they
have
traded positions with the very group that was invented for the sole
purpose of making this all come to pass - the PLO. Well the world
pitied Arafat so much as to allow him to address the U.N. with a gun
and thinly veiled threats. The Jews could come before the world
with
the cure for every disease, and the world will not have any more pity
for Jews than they did in 1942!
Actual Jews are now a
tiny
minority who are really at the mercy of
their now distant cousins, the left wing majority, the party of
Peres/Chamberlain. Will they come to the defense of Eretz
Israel? Or
will they continue to follow the path of demonizing the only real Jews
left in the land of Israel, while they steer the ship of Israel with
their own hands down a course set by the arabs who desire no less than
Hitler desired.
Saudi Arabia is the
author
peace initiative that is the central piece
of the Road Map. And it was a leftist Jew, Thomas Friedman of the New
York Times who brokered it to the world courtesy of his own imagined
genius for peace making. Thank you very much, but Friedman is not
a
real Jew, any more than Sharon himself is a Jew. Neither is
George
Bush a Christian, nor any other leader in Washington. Because
only
those who believe the PROMISES are Jews, and only those who understand
that Jews must remain Jews, and must be in the land of Israel with a
Jewish identity and character, are really Christians.
So who's "we"? The
very few friendless Jews and a few dozen Christian
Zionists who are non-proselytizing. These two groups form the
apple of
G-d's eye, and He will protect them. You will see the humbling of
the
world - especially the Arab world and Christendom - soon and very soon,
I'm afraid. And thrilled! At the prospects of a peace soon
afterward,
on the heals of the devil's machinations through mankinds folly.
There
will be peace beyond the measure of men in the Kingdom. But first
there will be woe unto those who fight against that Kingdom!
Yours in Truth,
Octaman

"Jehovah's Witnesses:
This organization
also adds its loud voice toward castigation of the Jews, because the
Jews generally will have no part of their teachings. The Witnesses do
not advocate violence against the Jews, or revile them politically, but
they do predict extreme violence for them in the approaching Armageddon
- at which time they forecast the extermination of all people,
including the Jews specifically, that have not joined their
organization by the time the holocaust arrives.
In this the Witnesses mimic the Antichrist , who also contends the
Roman Catholic Church is the one
true church;
and during papacy's counterfeit reign from 799 to 1799 they were very
vociferous that there could be no salvation outside their church.
And
we may observe here that those who make such claims go more and more
into error - "outer darkness."
.....the Jehovah's Witnesses lay
great
stress upon their Bible "proofs" for what they teach; yet we cannot
recall one instance where they have given any comment at all on Jer.
31:31-34, or Isa. 60:1-3, or upon various statements of St. Paul
concerning the Jew. [See Romans 11 - RB]
Neither the Witnesses nor any groups who have cast out the Jews can
produce any Scriptures that support their contentions about the Jews,
but we can produce many Scriptures to support our contentions: "
Eze 28:25
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have
gathered the house of Israel
from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified
in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their
land that I have given to my servant Jacob.Eze 28:26 And they
shall dwell safely therein, and shall
build houses, and plant
vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed
judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they
shall know that I [am] the LORD their God.
More verses that prove Israel inherits the land, not

"I say then, Hath God cast away his
people? God forbid.
For I also am an

Both Israel and
the U.S.
should have
known not to go to that charade in the first place. The wording has
been
in place for about two years. It was nothing but a platform for
Arafat's
grandstanding, as again he manages somehow to masqerade as a statesman
in
the very clothes of a killer. Treated as a sheep while in wolf's
clothing!
And none should forget the fact that Arafat is the nephew of the
aforementioned
Mufti al-Husseini.
It's good to know the end from the beginning.
What a day when Arafat is
forced to take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew!
Christian
Anti-semitism Rampant
It matters not to the Christian anti-semite
that the prophetic word clearly shows God's own support of the Jews.
They will continue to promulgate the same myths, such as the lie that
the media is controlled by Jews, and that it is all very pro-Israel in
it's coverage, when
the exact opposite documented to be true.
You can
point out to them the fact that the Arabs have continually shot,
stoned, shelled, rocketed and bombed the Jews, including the recent
sharpshooting murder of an infant, but to them the Jews have no right
to defend themselves, which equates to no right to exist. The Arabs
favorite targets are school buses full of children. When has a Jew ever
done something so vile? But when they commit the "terrible act" of
self-defense, they are attacked for it by
those who don't understand what it must be like to be a people hated
and persecuted
and nearly exterminated, who have found an island refuge a mere 7 miles
wide
at the waist, who are totally surrounded and under constant attack.
It can
be shown to the Christian anti-semite how Syrian President Assad
himself said, "There is no such
thing as a Palestinian people", and how they were only being used
as his personal political and military wedge. It can be shown
conclusively that the Arabs have historically attacked the Jews with
their armies, and murdered Jews indiscriminately, but it means nothing
to them. The Jews can withdraw from land as they did in South Lebanon a
year ago, only to be shelled and killed from that very land a year
later. And of course, todays effort to defend themselves means they
will be considered "evil" by those who are ignorant of the history of
the land as well as the true nature of the current situation there.
The
complete history of the Jews in the land can be proved that goes back
over 3000 years, but it means nothing to the Christian anti-semite. It
can be shown in big letters from the Christians own Bible how God
himself has declared that the land belongs to the Jews, and that He
will fight for them, but it means nothing to those who feel a deep
jealousy that the Jews have resisted Christian efforts to convert them,
an effort which would effectively have destroyed the Jewish identity of
the people as a whole if it were successful. These are ignorant of the
fact that the Scriptures show that the Jew has a distinct and separate
role from that of the Christian as a people, and that they are
fulfilling that role and the prophecies written about them now.
How sad
it is that these Christians will continue to choose to support the
forces of darkness in their demonic effort to stamp out the Jewish
people, and to prevent their undivided capitol from becoming a reality
- a reality that would prove fatal to the plans of the Adversary in his
efforts to prevent the inevitable Kingdom of God.
"The
Law shall go forth from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem."

The
Forgotten Refugees
By David G. Littman
National Review |
December
6, 2002
"One
should
question today
the real
motivation
of a selective, historically flawed memory which systematically
spotlights
the Arab-Palestinian refugees - suffering from the Arab League's own
policy
- but conveniently forgets the Jewish refugees from Arab lands."
Last Thursday, a new terrorist group calling itself, "The
Government of
Universal Palestine, the Army of Palestine" claimed responsibility for
a
murderous jihadist terror attack against Kenyans and Israelis in
Kilambala,
Kenya. The attacks were timed to mark the eve of the anniversary of the
November 29, 1947 decision by the United Nations to partition Palestine
and allow the
creation of the Jewish state.
The next day, in New York and Geneva, the United Nations hosted its
annual "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" —
without a hitch.
Amid this ongoing savagery and carnage worldwide, some basic truths
need to be reaffirmed about the Middle East tragedy. Aside from the
thorny Jerusalem issue, the major stumbling block has always been the
question of the return of — or compensation for — Arab refugees from
Palestine in 1948 and 1967. But Israel's steadfast refusal by the Arab
Palestinian leadership and Arab countries since the 1920s also led to
another great refugee tragedy.
In 1945 there were about 140,000 Jews in Iraq; 60,000 in Yemen and
Aden; 35,000 in Syria; 5,000 in Lebanon; 90,000 in Egypt; 60,000 in
Libya; 150,000 in Algeria; 120,000 in Tunisia; and 300,000 in Morocco,
including Tangiers. That comes to a total of about 960,000 — and more
than 200,000 in Iran and Turkey.
Jordan covered 78 percent of Palestine as designated by the League of
Nations in 1922. Turning a blind eye to article 15 of the League of
Nations Mandate, Great Britain decided in 1922 that no Jews would be
authorized either to reside
or buy land in what was now the Emirate of Transjordan. This decision
was
ratified by the kingdom of Jordan in its law No. 6, sect. 3, of April
3,
1954 (reactivated in law no. 7, sect. 2, of April 1, 1963), which
states that
any person may become a citizen of Jordan if he is not a Jew. Even when
Jordan
made peace with Israel in 1994, this Judenrein legislation remained.
In these ancient Jewish communities, which date from Biblical times,
less than 40,000 Jews remain today — and in the Arab world there are
fewer than 5,000, one-half of one percent of their number at the end of
World War II.
During the 20th century, thousands of Jewish men, women, and children,
young and old, were brutally massacred in the Maghreb, Iraq, Syria,
Egypt, Libya, and Aden — even under French and British colonial rule —
and also in Palestine after the British conquest and during the Mandate
(1918-48).
As to why and how these countries became Judenrein ( "cleansed" of
Jews), the heading of an article from the New York Times of May 16,
1948 — a day after Israel declared its independence — says it all:
"Jews in Grave Danger in all Moslem Lands. Nine Hundred Thousand in
Africa and Asia Face Wrath of
Their Foes".
On January 18, 1948, the president of the World Jewish Congress, Dr.
Stephen Wise, appealed to U.S. Secretary of State George Marshall:
"Between 800'000 and a million Jews in the Middle East and North
Africa, exclusive of Palestine, are in 'the greatest danger of
destruction' at the hands of Moslems being incited to holy war over the
Partition of Palestine ... Acts of violence already
perpetrated, together with those contemplated, being clearly aimed at
the
total destruction of the Jews, constitute genocide, which under the
resolutions
of the General Assembly is a crime against humanity."
Already in Iraq (1936 and 1941), Syria (1944-45), Egypt and Libya
(1945), and Aden (1947) — all before the state of Israel's founding —
murderous attacks had killed and wounded thousands. Here is a
description from the official report in 1945 by Tripoli's Jewish
community president, Zachino Habib, describing what happened to Libyan
Jews in Tripoli, Zanzur, Zawiya, Casabat, Zitlin, Nov. 4-7, 1945: "The
Arabs attacked Jews in obedience to mysterious orders. Their outburst
of bestial violence has no plausible motive. For fifty hours they
hunted men down, attacked houses and shops, killed men, women, old and
young, horribly tortured and dismembered Jews isolated in the
interior... In order to carry out the slaughter, the attackers used
various weapons: knives,
daggers, sticks, clubs, iron bars, revolvers, and even hand grenades."
(1)
A recent example of such murderous acts was seen on April 11, 2002 when
the jihadist bombing of the ancient al-Ghariba synagogue of Djerba in
Tunisia killed 17 and badly wounding many others, most of them elderly
German tourists. A spokesman for al Qaeda claimed they had been behind
the bombing. Now Tunisia's remaining Jewish community will seek
security in Israel and elsewhere — like 99 percent of their
coreligionists before them.
Pogroms and persecutions, and grave fears for their future, regularly
preceded the mass expulsions and exoduses of the Jews, whose ancestors
had inhabited these regions from time immemorial, a millennium and more
before the successive waves of Arab conquest and occupation from the
7th century. Beginning in 1948,
more than 650,000 of these Oriental Jewish refugees were integrated
into
Israel — even as the country was being threatened with annihilation by
neighboring
Arab League states, which, for over 40 years, refused the U.N.'s 1947
Palestine
Partition Plan. Approximately 300,000 more Jews found refuge, and a new
homeland,
in Europe and the Americas.
Roughly half of Israel's 5 million Jews — from a population of 6.2
million, of whom roughly 20 percent are Arab, Druze, and Bedouin
Israelis — is now composed of those refugees and their descendants, who
received no humanitarian aid from the United Nations, and who indeed
did not ask for it. It was Jews worldwide, just emerging from the
Shoah, who worked together with Israel to
achieve this integration.
Yet it was this defiance of international legality by the Arab League
in 1947-1948 — maintained decade after decade in unsuccessful attempts
at politicide — that led to the ongoing Arab-Palestinian catastrophe. A
parallel commitment on behalf of the less numerous Arab refugees of
Palestine (in 1948 they numbered about 550,000, although a figure of
750,000 is often claimed) for their integration into some of the 21
Arab states (covering 10 percent of the world's land surface)
was considered too great a symbolic and monetary sacrifice, even
despite
their immense oil resources.
George Orwell's remark about everyone being equal — but some being more
equal than others — could well be applied to refugees since the 1940s:
Apparently some refugees are considered more equal than others. But the
forgotten million — Jewish refugees from Arab lands — were not helped
by the U.N. , nor were they kept for over half a century in refugee
camps, breeding hopelessness, frustration, and — under U.N. auspices —
a culture of hate and death, in which
jihadist bombers thrive today.
The transfer of populations on a large scale, as a consequence of war
or for political reasons, has always been a characteristic of human
history, particularly in the Islamic Orient. Deportations,
expropriations and expulsions of dhimmis — Jews, Christians, and other
indigenous peoples — recurred throughout the long history of
dhimmitude, including in Palestine. One should question today the real
motivation of a selective, historically flawed memory which
systematically spotlights the Arab-Palestinian refugees — suffering
from the
Arab League's own policy — but conveniently forgets the Jewish refugees
from
Arab lands.
U.N. Security Council Resolution 242 of November 22, 1967 — also
adamantly refused then by the Khartoum Arab League Summit Conference
with the formula: "No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no
negotiation with Israel, no concessions on the questions of Palestinian
national rights" — refers to
"a just solution to the refugee problem". This term applied implicitly
also
to Jewish refugees from Arab countries — who had been obliged to seek
security
outside their native lands — and not only to the Arab-Palestinian
refugees
who are not specifically referred to in the resolution.
The dire hardships endured by the great majority of the Jewish refugees
from Arab countries have never been considered by the United Nations,
nor
has the loss of their inestimable properties and heritage dating back
over
3, 000 years. The time has surely come for this great injustice to be
addressed seriously, within the context of a just and equitable global
solution to the
ongoing Middle East tragedy, once the Palestinian leadership ends its
jihad-war
of attrition and takes the democratic path to peace.
On April 24, 2002, at the U.N. Commission on Human Rights in Geneva, we
referred to this matter as a representative of the World Union for
Progressive
Judaism. Speaking in a "right of reply," the delegate of Iraq (Saad
Hussain)
stated, unashamedly, that he was "responding to the lies that we heard
in
the statement of the gentleman called David Littman, known for his
animosity
toward the Arabs, Muslims, and Islam. The Arab history, the Arab and
Islamic
history for fourteen centuries, has not witnessed any harm to the Jews
—
quite the contrary. The Jews have lived, and continue to live in peace,
and
their sacred places and their property have been protected until today
(...)
They live in Arab countries today in perfect safety, despite the events
—
the horrible events taking place in Palestine." (2)
Not surprisingly, the truth is very different. Jews have always been
forbidden to reside in Saudi Arabia and Jordan; there are now no Jews
in Libya; under 100 in Egypt and Syria; and only 17 remain in Iraq! We
shall again briefly raise the question of the forgotten million Jewish
refugees from Arab countries at the next session of the U.N. Commission
on Human Rights — when the chairperson will be the lady ambassador from
Libya! At the last six-week session (March-April 2002), more than 50
percent of the commission's time was taken up by Palestinian issues —
to the dismay of very many observers.

today. The number varies according to the source and its definition of
"war" and "conflict". The type of "conflicts" range from terrorist
organizations fighting against sovereign governments to nations warring
against nations to spiritual battles being waged around the globe. The
curious aspect in all of this is that the war in Israel seems to be the
one event that causes most of the world to feel
threatened.
Because of many different beliefs and
attitudes regarding, among other things, peace and freedom, the
situation in Israel tends to become quite convoluted. Misunderstandings
regarding the reasons for the fighting abound, even among followers of
the G-d of Israel. Also
involved are the agendas, hidden and otherwise, of many of the key
players
involved.
In its simplest terms, the "conflict"
in Israel is being waged by those who are fighting (whether
intentionally or not) against the G-d of Israel, the Creator of the
universe. It is a battle, for the most part, between those of faith who
believe the promises G-d made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and those
who, for whatever reasons, would prefer that
Israel (i.e., the Jews) did not live on the land bordered by the Nile
and
Euphrates Rivers and the Mediterranean Sea and the wilderness of
Jordan.
The faithful in Israel are obeying a direct commandment from G-d
("inhabit
the land"). Those, on the other hand, who are fighting against G-d
(whether
intentionally or not) are trying to remove the Jewish people from the
land
given to them by G-d, especially Judea and Samaria - the very heart of
Israel.
The basic reason for wanting Jews out
of the land of Israel is quite simple when looked at from a spiritual
viewpoint. The existence of the Jewish people in the land of Israel,
after 2,000 years of dispersion, proves beyond a doubt that the G-d of
Israel does exist and that man will one day have to give an account of
his deeds before Him; that man's autonomous reign on this earth is soon
coming to an end.
We could look at the historical
aspect
of
the situation and try to determine whether Israel actually has a right
to
live in the land or if it really does belong to the 'Palestinians'.
However,
this is exactly what is happening now and the facts become very easily
distorted when mingled with bold lies. The question many people ask is
"Whose history do we believe, the Israelis or the 'Palestinians'?"
Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels'
statement, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, then
people will eventually come to believe it," has certainly come to life
in the current situation. Then whose statements do we believe?
For those who worship the G-d of
Israel, there is only one truth: the word of G-d itself. But what
exactly did G-d say regarding Israel? Does it still hold true today,
even after Israel's dispersion from the land 2,000 years ago? Does G-d
want to divide the land of Israel and give
a portion of it to the 'Palestinians' - or anybody else - besides the
Jewish
people? The answers, fortunately, are found in the Scriptures - G-d's
written
word.
G-d's Eternal Covenant with Israel
Approximately 4,000 years ago, G-d
made
a
covenant with Abraham to give him and his descendants the land of
Canaan,
located "from the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river
Euphrates." (Genesis 15:18) This covenant was later restated to Isaac
(Genesis 26.2-5) and to Jacob (Genesis 28.13; 35.12). Eventually, G-d
would make this same covenant with the entire house of Israel, as a
nation:
"For My angel will go before you and
bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites,
the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely
destroy them.... And I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the
sea of the Philistines, and
from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the
inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out
before you." (Exodus 23.23,31).
G-d also declared that Israel would
be
His "own possession among all the peoples." The requirements of Israel
for this covenant is to "obey My [G-d's] voice and keep My covenant."
(Exodus 19:5) Because of this, many people mistakenly believe that,
because Israel disobeyed G-d, He removed them from the land
permanently. They say that Israel no longer has a valid claim to the
land, according to G-d's word. Some even go so
far as to say that G-d has cast off His people permanently. However,
Scripture does not bear this out. In fact, it states just the opposite.
G-d was very specific regarding what
would happen to Israel if they obeyed Him and the resulting punishment
if they failed
to obey Him ("the blessings and the curses"). The details are given in
Leviticus
26 and Deuteronomy 28. The ultimate penalty for continuing to disobey
G-d
was removal from the land of promise (Leviticus 26.33). Yet, there was
always
the promise of restoration: "Yet in spite of this, when they are in the
land
of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so abhor them as
to
destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the L-rd their
G-d."
(Leviticus 26:44; see also Jeremiah 31.35-37; Lamentations 4.22; Micah
7.18-20)
G-d never declared that He would utterly abandon the Jewish people:
"'Yet
even in those days', declares the L-rd, 'I will not make you a complete
destruction.'"
(Jeremiah 5:18; see also Amos 9.8) G-d, instead, promised that a
remnant
of Israel would return to the land that He promised to Abraham, Isaac,
and
Jacob (Isaiah 11.11-14; 43.5-6; Zephaniah 3.14-20). Notice that G-d is
speaking
of Israel - the Jewish people - returning to the land, not some other
vessel.
Dividing the Land of Israel
So we come back to one of our
original
questions: Does G-d want to divide the land of Israel and give a
portion of it to the 'Palestinians' - or anybody else - besides the
Jewish people? Aside from the Scriptures listed above, there are many
more detailing G-d's promise of
the restoration of the Jewish people to the land of Israel. Is it
possible, then, that G-d would want to share the land with other
nations? G-d is very concerned about His land, especially Judea and
Samaria. He is also concerned for His holy city Jerusalem. G-d spoke of
the judgment of the nations for doing this very thing: "I will gather
all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then
I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and
My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and
they have divided up My land." (Joel 3:2)
Many individuals and organizations
approve of the idea of the creation of a 'Palestinian' state, as long
as it is not headed by a terrorist organization. Their claim is that
the 'Palestinian people'
need a place to live also. While we could argue the actual existence of
a
'Palestinian people', we need to look back at the Scriptures for the
correct
Biblical position. G-d commanded Israel 3,500 years ago to remove the
pagan
nations from the land of Israel and dwell in it. G-d has never changed
nor
lifted this command. Many in Israel are asking that the 'Palestinians'
leave
peacefully. There are plenty of places for them to go. Whatever they
do,
it is not Israel's responsibility to provide a place for them to live.
Israel's
command from G-d is to remove the enemy from their midst and dwell in
the
land.
The issue then of whether to divide
Israel or not becomes clear. The land bordered by the Nile and
Euphrates Rivers and
the Mediterranean Sea and the wilderness of Jordan belongs to G-d, Who,
in
turn, gave it to the Jewish people for an eternal possession. It cannot
be
shared nor given away. G-d gave Israel a clear command regarding making
covenants
with their enemies: "and when the L-rd your G-d shall deliver them
before
you, and you shall defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them.
You
shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them."
(Deuteronomy 7:2)
The basic answer to Israel's problem
with the 'Palestinians' - and the nations of the world - is to trust
G-d, not man.
Many Christians are asking what they
can do to help Israel. As Christians, it is our job to encourage Israel
to believe the promises G-d made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We must
encourage them to return to Israel and build up the land. We must pray
and intercede for them to be strong and withstand the pressures of the
nations. It is G-d alone they must fear, not man: "In G-d I have put my
trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (Psalm 56:11) We
are the watchmen of Israel. Let us
take our job seriously.
"For Zion's sake I will not keep
silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet, until her
righteousness goes forth
like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning.... On
your
walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night
they
will never keep silent. You who remind the L-rd, take no rest for
yourselves; and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes
Jerusalem a praise in the earth." (Isaiah 62:1,6-7)

Judenrein
Palestine?
by Rachel

Why is it that people are proposing a Middle East
peace plan that will
make
Judea and Samaria Judenrein (the Nazi term for a place with no
Jews)?
It is the historic homeland and birthplace of the Jewish people, yet
many
world leaders believe the removal of Jewish communities from Judea and
Samaria
is a crucial prerequisite for a peaceful resolution to the Arab-Israeli
conflict.
Jews have lived in Judea and Samaria for thousands of years. In fact,
the
Jewish religion and people were birthed in Hebron. We know of the
ancient
Jewish presence there from both the Hebrew and Christian Bibles and
from
abundant archaeological and documentary evidence.
No one denies that the oldest document showing
the historical
connection
of the Jewish people to the land of Israel, including Judea and Samaria
(a.k.a.
the West Bank), is the Bible. Genesis 24:18 says: “And Abram moved his
tent,
and came and dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron.”
And
the world's oldest documentation of real estate being purchased for
full
price is also in the Bible (see Genesis 23:9). And for those who doubt
biblical
references, there is substantial evidence in archaeological findings
(see http://www.sciencedaily.com/encyclopedia/History_of_ancient_Israel_and_Judah).
Historically, the Jewish homeland included what is today called Judea
and
Samaria, the Golan Heights, and a considerable part of today's Jordan.
The
land was inhabited mainly by Jews and was ruled by Jews. Therefore,
Lord
Robert Cecil, former acting British foreign secretary, was right to use
the
name "Judea" for the whole land in his famous remark: "Our wish is that
Arabian
countries shall be for the Arabs, Armenia for the Armenians, and Judea
for
the Jews." (December 2, 1917; see http://www.esek.com/jerusalem/iudaea.html.)
The Jewish presence there has been continuous, except for 19 years from
1948 to 1967 when the area became Judenrein. And during that 19
year
period, the Jordanians and Arabs of the remaining portion of
"Palestine"
desecrated Jewish holy sites and cemeteries in an attempt to deny that
the
Jews ever lived there.
Those who advocate the dismantling of the Jewish communities in this
territory
are advocating a policy of ethnic cleansing. This may sound extreme,
but
from the early 1900s, the Arabs carried out a policy of ethnic
cleansing
that included the massacre and pogroms in 1929 and 1936 in Hebron. Both
the
spirit and practice of ethnic cleansing are being continued in the
current
conflict (see http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_mandate_grand_mufti.php).
So, what did UN Secretary-General Kofi Anan mean in his 2001
Nobel
Peace Prize acceptance speech when he said, “A genocide begins with the
killing
of one man — not for what he has done, but because of who he is. A
campaign
of 'ethnic cleansing' begins with one neighbor turning on another.”
Does this not also apply to the Israeli Jews who have re-established
homes
in Judea and Samaria? Should they be ethnically cleansed from the heart
of
their historical homeland? Does the Nobel recipient not know a real
victim
of ethnic cleansing when he sees one?
The same people and countries that condemned ethnic cleansing in the
Balkans,
Cyprus, Rwanda and Tibet totally reverse themselves when it comes to
the
right of Jewish people to live in the lands of their historic
patrimony.
If Chinese people were forbidden to live in China, Buddhists barred
from
Tibet, or Irish-Catholics banned from South Boston, there would be a
tremendous
outcry against such injustices. But where is the outcry against the
removal
of Jews from Judea — their historical homeland?
Is there any other nation on earth that has such a legitimate birth
certificate
as Israel? And if the Jews have no such document, then the Old and New
Testaments
are worthless.
The war for Israel's independence ended in 1949 with the Jordanians in
full
control of Judea and Samaria and the Old City of Jerusalem (the "West
Bank"),
cutting the Jewish people off from their most holy religious sites. The
official
status of these areas, then, was disputed territories, as no one had
held
sovereignty there since the defeat of the Ottoman Empire. Only two
countries,
Pakistan and Britain, recognized the 19-year Jordanian "illegal
occupation".
Even the entire Arab world refused to recognize it and, consequently,
it
was illegal and illegitimate ab initio.
After the 1967 war, the Jewish people have simply been returning to the
land
from which they were forcibly expelled during the first Arab-Israeli
war
of 1948-49.
This territory has always been known as Judea and Samaria. Do the names
"Jew"
(for Judea) and "Samaritan" (as in "good Samaritan") sound familiar? In
fact,
Shemer, founder of Asher, a clan of one of the twelve tribes of Israel,
was
the owner and eponym of the hills of Samaria. Is there anything Arab or
"Palestinian"
about either? Even UN Resolution 181, the Partition Plan of 1947,
refers
to these territories as Judea and Samaria (http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/mideast/mideast.htm).
The word "occupiers" does not apply to the Jews. Prior to the illegal
Jordanian
occupation of 1948-67, Jews had maintained several thousand years of
continual
residence in the area. However, the term does apply to both the
Jordanians
and the "Palestinian" Arab squatters of today (http://www.tzemachdovid.org/Facts/islegal1.shtml).
In the early part of the 20th century, the Arab population carried out
a
war against the Jewish inhabitants of the area. This resulted in a
series
of massacres in Hebron, the birth place of Judaism, in 1929, as well as
numerous
other violent attacks, such as the 1936-39 pogroms against Jews, ending
in
the total expulsion of the Jewish population from much of Judea,
Samaria
and the Old City of Jerusalem.
As a result of the Israeli victory in 1967, Jewish people returned to
this
area and re-unified the historic capital of Jerusalem. Many of the Jews
who
had been expelled from this territory, or whose parents and
grandparents
were murdered by rampaging Arabs, have merely returned to their
previous
homes. And in subsequent years, additional Jewish communities (not
"illegal
settlements") were built, mainly for security purposes, and others for
historical
and emotional reasons on mainly state-owned land and historical
outposts.
Judea and Samaria were liberated, not stolen or occupied, from
Jordan
(see http://www.tzemachdovid.org/Facts/islegal3.shtml
and http://www.internationalwallofprayer.org/A-143-A-Settlers-History-of-Settlements).
Since 1967, 261 new Arab settlements have been built in Judea and
Samaria.
According to international law, all of these are illegal, as no
sovereignty
was ever recognized over these territories; yet no one calls for their
removal.
Why is it that no one talks about those Arab settlements as obstacles
to
peace — especially when they are bases for carrying out terrorism, and
their
inhabitants are constantly taught virulent hatred toward the Jewish
people
and the West?
Dismantling the Jewish communities in these territories will only
reward
terrorism.
The Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, are a litmus test of Arab
intentions.
Why can’t Jews live in their historic homeland if there really is
peace?
After all, there are 1.2 million Arabs living as citizens of Israel in
the
one Jewish country in the world, while there are only a handful of Jews
living
in any of the 22 Arab countries. In fact, in Jordan and Saudi Arabia,
not
only is it illegal for Jews to be citizens, they are not even allowed
to
live there.
Therefore, instead of Israel being the "apartheid state" in the region,
it
is the Arab world that is not only apartheid, but also racist and
religiously
exclusive.
