Skanky does

DO! "

Tunnel
security
Skanky played in different bands
without varying degrees of success. However his then girlfriend
DEMANDED that he buy her an engagement ring and quit music.
They divorced
after
three and a half years of what he calls "the 42 month reign of
antichrist." During that time he cooked and cleaned, drove her
to
40 miles to school, every day, typed her term papers and put himself through school all with
dreary day jobs. She would sit home watching soap operas, chew her
nails and
complain about
money, often with her fists.
In return, Skanky was
kind. He always tried to do what was right, even in the face of
selfishness. He got a big promotion at work, they had just bought
a
house, just returned
from a trip to Disneyland - and she left him for a rich guy they had
just met who turned out to be a coke dealer. Cash trumps love!
Skanky met with his old
bandmates and got back into music.
Living in a teepee at the
foothills of the Olympic Mountains, he
was tracked
down by a law firm working for Atlantic Records after a scout said he
had seen "The greatest rock and roll
band I've ever seen in my
life." They
were
nearly signed
to a
record deal with Atlantic - but they broke up at the
last moment when both his bandmates developed "personal
problems" and ended up hospitalized. Hear

Skanky was down on the canvas
for a
time, and had to fight off apathy. Undaunted, he continued to
play his guitar and then, at the end of a long dark tunnel,
was discovered by Octaman!

Skanky
is named for the reggae
"skank" guitar
and the reggae "skank" dance style. He's the artistic hands of the
band, inspired by his
mom who was a commercial artist for many
years. She painted Skanky's design concept
for the Octaman cd poster.
He
loved the murals
in the
Seattle Metro Bus Tunnel where he worked alone,
exploring the
vast caverns by bicycle before it opened to the public.
He
is currently doing web design, and his next project is the
upcoming "Octaman Comic Book
Adventure!" (Action figures sold separately.)
